Correct analysis, but jumping to wrong conclusion. The important part of your list are items 1 to 5 and 7 (where you forgot to include tradable assets such as gold and jewelry). If you had relied on a gun in Aleppo, Syria and stayed in your house, you would be toast by now. Escape is far more important for survivors than owning a gun in any of the disaster events that you mentioned. The gun can actually lower your chances. Think of passing a hostile checkpoint with a gun in your bag. Good luck.
